I live in Sheffield now, so I can't give you a lift to the Peak from Notts, but if you do find your way up here, there is chance I may be free to climb....

If anyones climbing this weekend ill almost certainly be free to meet up in the peaks, Ill be driving over from though Lincoln so not much use for lifts.
Im actually looking forward to getting back on the small routes (Grit or limestone, trad or sport though rather not go to a grotty quary) after the alps.

Southampton Uni MC in peace! I'm working at Nottingham uni at the moment, living on site without a car. I've sampled the delights of your obscure bouldering venue, but I'm dying to hitch a lift into the peaks if possible!

Just wondering if anyone was planning heading into the peaks this week with an odd number, and needed a belay bitch!

I dont have a rack with me, just the basics (shoes, harness, belay plate, screwgate), - however I was planning on buying a new set of cams this week.

I can get any day off this week (might have a few problems trying to take friday off). I have my bike, so I could get anywhere reasonably close to the uni in the morning.

I promise I am a real person. Also I will bring free complementary biscuits.

Cheers,

Jonny

Hey Jonny,
Same here Im afraid, I climb regularly but already live in the peaks so not much use to you for lifts! There aren't many people left in Notts itself now but keep your eyes peeled on the forum. Alternatively Ill be climbing next week and live in Matlock which is quite easy to get to from Beeston. How long will you be here for?

Hey Jes,

Cheers for your reply. I'm here till next sat (7th aug), and again I will be able to take a day of next week mon - friday. If your up for a climb, I should be able to get the train to matlock. I really feel I should sample some peak grit whilst i'm up here!

If you fancy a climb, just let me know on here!

Thanks,

Jonny

I'm heading out on Sat to the Peak, undecided whether to go to Plantation or to get in some more limestone action. Anyone else around?

I'll probably be at Stanage, with non-unumc people but you are more than welcome to join us.

We may well be at Staden, probably not at Craig-y-biceps though. Probably also out for some of Saturday, not sure where, weather and car hunting dependent.

I'd like to come out on Sunday, won't have the car, but can fight my way somewhere hitching/bussing it. Would prefer somewhere limestoney (chee tor/high tor) to aid fitness before Pembroke, but happy to go elsewhere.
