hey everybody! while sitting with revision in front of me and staring outside at the miserable weather, naturally i've been daydreaming about sunny days and climbing, and thinking about how boring it is that we have no trips in the summer after cornwall.
my proposed solution to this is simple: during mid to late august when the weather will be sunniest, spending a week or so doing a roadtrip from perhaps pembroke or north wales and heading down to portland or swanage, stopping in places like cheddar gorge, some dartmoor crags, torquay DWS etc. en route with the intentions of getting in some trad, sport and DWS over the week. (along with some rest days at the beach with vast quantities of beer of corse!)
i'm proposing this as an unofficial club trip with everyone sorting between themselves how to get to the starting point, then travelling together for the week. i'm happy to take care of organising where we camp and working out a rough itinery of where we'll be over the week so if poeple want to meet us for a day or 2 they can find us etc. my thoughts are that 10 days would be ideal as we could overlap over 2 weekends so boring people who cant get off work could try and join us for the weekends.
this is only a very rough plan in the works so if your interested in coming along post up any ideas/input you may have and we'll see if we can make this happen!
