To climb better you just need to be determined and have plenty of psyche...start going to the wall lots (make the most of these sessions by warming up, beating yourself up and then warming down), stop drinking beer (i really need to do this one), eat less cake and for alpine stuff apply for the conville course!

No beer? Less cake? An outrageous proposition. Lots of famous mountaineers drink beer to excess... and then have epics that they write books about :?

I believe the key ingredients at work here are oats and chocolate... but yes, absolute twaddle I agree, like homeopathy. But they do taste good. :D

I don't like herbal tea- no caffeine, no point. I'm sure the GMC would be unimpressed with me using the other sort of herbal performance 'enhancer' that you suggest. I go on the register (pre-reg status anyway, assuming I pass finals) this week [-o< , so I have to be a good girl... scary times.

I have a place on the Conville Course 21-22nd June. Is anyone else planning on heading out to the Alps around that time? I'm thinking of driving, if I can share fuel costs with 1-2 others.
